1. The first thing you need to do is download the graphics onto your Pocket PC.  Any graphic file in BMP, GIF, JPG or PNG format can be used. Ideally, graphics will be relatively small (32x32 or smaller), so that they don't have to be scaled down each time they are drawn, which can slow the program down considerably. The color in the upper left corner pixel of the graphic will always be drawn as transparent, regardless of the image format.

2. Put your Pocket PC in its cradle

3. Open ActiveSync on your desktop PC

4. Click the "Explore" button

5. Drag the graphic(s) to your Pocket PC using Windows Explorer

6. Run VOCalendar on the Pocket PC

7. Select "Calendar... Rules" from the menu

8. Click the "Add" button

9. Set "Criteria" to "Subject"

10. Select "Contains" from the second drop list

11. Enter the word you want the subject to contain in order for this icon to be used (for example, you might use the word "school" as in the illustration).

12. Click on the "..." button beside the file name edit box

13. Navigate to the directory containing the graphic you want to use by using the folder navigator at the top of the screen.

14. Click on the desired graphic

15. Click on the "OK" button to save

Repeat steps 8-15 for each icon you want to add

16. Click on the "OK" button to accept the new icon rules and display the results.  It will take 5-15 seconds for the display to refresh.
