ActiveSync Download

  1. Open Windows Explorer.  You can do this by selecting "Start... Programs... Accessories... Windows Explorer", or simply by holding the Windows logo key on your keyboard and pressing the E key.
  2. You will see an icon under "My Computer" called "Mobile Device".  Click on this.

  3. This will show you the contents of the "My Documents" folder on your Pocket PC in the ride side of the Explorer window.
  4. You need to place the CAB file for the product you wish to install into this folder.  You can either drag it from another Explorer window or you can Copy & Paste it.  The CAB file will generall contain the name of the processor type, such as "ARM" or "MIPS".  Consult your Pocket PC documentation if you don't know the processor type of your device.
  5. On the Pocket PC device, run File Explorer by selecting "Start... Programs... File Explorer" from the menu button.
  6. Select "My Documents" from the selected folder drop list.  If you don't see it, select "My Device" first, then select "My Documents"
  7. Click on the CAB file to install the application.  Note that you will not actually see the ".CAB" file extension because the Pocket PC File Explorer hides file extensions.
